Architectural Woodworking
Private Residence 2
Mark Bernhard / Bernhard Woodwork Ltd
The unique open floor plan and floor-to-ceiling windows for this new home required the millwork to act as walls in the space. Every piece of millwork was visible not only from the inside on both sides, but also from the outside of the home.

Unique veneer was picked out to set off the stark white modernist design. Kewazinga and Karelian Birch were used on the serpentine walls that featured pivot doors and partitions flush into the face of the paneling.

“Nice, organic fluidity around the curves, with a good continuation of the grain across the panels. Great choice of veneer species, and design creates a harmonious whole.” - Karen Koenig
