Royal Crescent Kitchen
Bespoke Minneapolis
The main objective was to remain sympathetic to the heritage of this impressive structure while at the same time offer all of the modern conveniences of a working kitchen. This home in The Royal Crescent, a row of Eighteenth Century terraced houses in Bath, England, was a former retreat of Queen Mary, wife of George V, amongst many other dignitaries over time. All of our marquetry and veneer work is crafted by hand with no CNC technologies employed. Materials include figured walnut, figured English sycamore, wenge, Karelian birch burl and herringbone braided leather.

The team members who participated in this international project include David Barrows, Katherine Bonander, Megan Burd, Javier Cruz, Kerry Hogan, Clair Ganzel, Adrian Lee, Keith Morgan, Merlin Morgan, Aaron Nash, Paul Perrone, Thomas Schrunk and Stewart Steinkamp.

Comment by Alfred Sharp, 2014 judge
“When I look at this entry, I’m envious of the level of design and even more of the quality of execution that went into this work.”
